About Isabel Leming

Therapist in Woodbridge, Suffolk

I’m a therapist based in Woodbridge, Suffolk, with a background in psychology, brain sciences and mental health treatment.

I love working with people and helping them understand themselves, overcome challenges and make meaningful changes in their lives.

I’ve spent more than nine years working in mental health, supporting people through a wide range of difficulties. My career has taken me from working on a neuroscience ward and managing specialist rTMS clinics across the UK and Ireland, to founding my own mental health clinic in Glasgow.

Today, I provide individual therapy in Woodbridge and online, using an integrative approach tailored to the person I’m working with.

Outside of work, I love being active, playing sport and spending time with my friends and family. I want to be remembered for spreading kindness and good energy — and for making people feel genuinely seen, supported and understood.

My Approach

As well as sharing my knowledge, guidance and advice from my background in healthcare, education, sports and business, I provide a unique approach in helping people overcome their challenges and achieve their dreams. My integrative approach and training across a range of therapeutic modalities means I am highly successful in facilitating change and providing an adaptable and flexible approach to my clients.

My Background

I’ve always been fascinated by people, health and the human brain.

From a young age, I loved sport and understanding how the body works. In my teenage years, I became increasingly interested in psychology and the brain. Torn between my love of sport and my growing fascination with psychology, I decided to study both.

Psychology & Brain Sciences

BSc Psychology & Sports Studies — 2014

MRes Brain Sciences — 2015

It was during this time that I also completed my first training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). I quickly realised that I wanted to combine my interest in psychology and the brain with my passion for working directly with people.

My Experience in Mental Health

After completing my studies, I began working on a neuroscience ward, providing mental health support to patients who had experienced brain injuries and strokes.

I loved working with patients, but I also wanted to explore how I could support people more holistically.

I went on to work for a pioneering mental health company providing repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) to people experiencing mental health difficulties who had not benefited sufficiently from traditional treatments.

During this time, I progressed into senior clinical and operational roles, including Lead Practitioner, Registered Manager and Operations Manager.

I was responsible for opening and managing seven specialist rTMS clinics across the UK and Ireland, as well as supporting patients and clinical teams.

This experience gave me a deep appreciation of the complexity of mental health and the importance of treating people as individuals rather than simply focusing on a diagnosis or set of symptoms.

From Clinical Practice to My Own Clinic

As my experience grew, I became increasingly interested in integrating different therapeutic approaches to support people more effectively.

I wanted to create a space where people could access a more personalised and integrative approach to mental health support.

I continued my training in approaches including Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT), alongside my existing training in NLP.

In 2019, I founded Moving Minds, a mental health clinic in Glasgow offering rTMS treatment and therapy services.

Running my own clinic gave me the opportunity to combine my clinical experience, knowledge of neuroscience and passion for helping people in a way that felt much more personal.

I’ve since moved back to Suffolk, where I grew up, and now provide therapy from Woodbridge and online.

My Purpose

Ultimately, my purpose is simple: to help people grow.

I want to help people understand themselves, make peace with their past and feel more able to create the life they want.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes they’re struggling with something that has happened recently. Sometimes they’ve been carrying something for years. Sometimes they simply know that something isn’t quite right and want to understand why.

Whatever brings you here, my aim is to create a space where you feel safe, supported and understood — and where we can work together towards meaningful change.

If you’re considering therapy and would like to talk about whether working together could be right for you, I’d love to hear from you.
